The middle east isn't even in the top five list of where we import oil from. With countries like China and Russia as customers, the middle east oil producers likely wouldn't care if the US stopped buying. Besides, Venezuela is a bigger problem regarding US dependence on foreign oil - it's the only dictatorship in the top 5 list of import sources!
