dear mr buffet im writing you on a miracle that you get this i currenty work for one of your companies ,back in may of 2009 my daugther was diagnosed with brain cancer, anaplastic enpendomoma stage3,a somewhat rare cancer.they took most of tumar out but had to leave a little on the brain stem.she has had mutiple complications since,they had to put a schunt in her head to help drain fluid, she has a trach in so she can breath.the insurance we have is great but wife has had to quit working back in april.are bills were based on both are income with have lost our house and filing for bankrupncy, my daugther who is 2 has a long road ahead of her, there no guaruntee the cancer wont come back but we have a postive outlook on it. we currenty live my mother in law and father in law and they are great and help when possible but its not the ideal sititation for us.the house is some what crowed at times because she reguires 16 hrs a day of nursing.i would love to able pay everything off and buy a house for my wife ,son and daughter and get back to somewhat of a normal life. i hope this not a conflict interest since i work for one of your companies

This is a long shot and I am not good at asking for help but am at my wicks end.I’m 59 yrs old a male who recently was diagnosed with a back problem I had heart problems a couple of years ago pacemaker stunt placement and told I may heve a slow growing tumor in my lung.I had to file Bankruptcy with all the bills My wife left me and Im strugling in my small Ranch home with no heat unable to get my newer furnace to work I do work full time but as one might expect on a tight arranged budget.I’m surving with two electric heaters but barely the pipes freeze and my health condition makes things hard I have neighbors kind enough to help with the snow removale I live on a corner lot with a great deal of walk to shoval.I have always pay’d my way and would not ask for help there are so many who need it more than I but at this point I’m asking any help I could be offered would ge greatly apreciated and I would pay back any financial assistance if it were to come my way.If I could just stay warm this winter until spring I know things would look Up.My wife left me when things got tough a couple years ago I see my 15 year old son when ever I can but he can’t even come over with it being freezing in my home.I would be willing to work off any help i would be given I work full time for the university of nebraska med center in security and have done so for 23 years .Well thank you for listening.ken

I am a business person myself and CNBC speaks quite often on you, that’s my favorite channel, I see your ambition for growth in your markets and hearing of your past ventures, industries made me research you more and was very impressed on your ability to make something out of nothing and the way you have dealt with your ups and downs, so I have to believe that over all you like business, congratulations on this achievement, I can relate to a person like yourself, I came from no money and have pay ed many dues and now doing pretty good but I am in a point in my life that I know I can explode, just looking for a push in the right direction and the success is not only money orientated it really helps out many and gives better living conditions to a huge amount of people in fact I just want to run it for a percentage and give a most of it back to ones who really need it, I have created a very very necessary tool for an industry that is not glamorous or in the spotlight but very profitable, this industry has gone public before and it flopped, what I have designed can make it go public and stick but honestly I don’t want that, well you would be the one to decide but don’t really care for it, I rather be private, I know you must think this is odd and I don’t know why but I just had a feeling to reach out to you and offer you my plan so we can maybe help each other out, just to clarify, I am not scraping by or a pipe dream type person etc, I live well, I own a marketing and advertising company and I also have a branch of a correspondent lending and mortgage company, as we all know housing is hurting, I am fine but quite bored and uncertain of what the future can bring, I have lots of dependants like my mother and two employees many others, but not going to explain here, and not making what I am use to making to survive is going to hurt me soon, The project I have developed is what I have a passion for and wanted to do now for 10 years, Its in the industry I grew up in, again I am not just a dreamer, I grew up with nothing and have been making 150k+ for the past three years and I am only 30 years old, I am very much a realist, what I have is numbers, customers, suppliers, end users who would love nothing more than to have my tool in order to be twice as profitable and quicker. This program and way of doing business will cut out someone in the industry that is killing everyone and not letting it evolve into what it should be, this is an industry that during the great depression held up as one of the strongest, and is ran by people who are fat in money and have not figured out a better way of doing business, and have no problems keeping that way, its not a business people think about nor is it easy to stumble into yet every one purchases this product, and remember this is not for everyone this tool is for the people that serve and cater this product toe everyone, I have created a better way for the two most important people in this industry which is the producer of the product and the final user, which then the end users provide their expert services to the public.

Right now I have over 1500 customers that want this tool, they are willing to pay $40. a month for this which is $60k in profits a month at launching, this is just in service charges, remember this is a tool for your business just like a cell phone or phone line etc, but the real business is in the profits of the everyday sales of the product which is average 30% to 45% of sales. New York alone there is 12,000++ possible customers and an average of 5000 to 8000 customers in every other state, counting on 50 states, my goal is to acquire 50,000 customers, just 1,000 customers per state this is to be achieved in no more than three years, at $40. dollars that is 2 Million a month and again we have not even discussed profits on the sales, lets be negative and say that we would only make an average profit of $1,000. a month per customer (which is a ridiculous average) that means it would be $50 million a month, a total= $52 million, lets say I am wrong and cut that by half, that would be $25 million a month and cut that in half again if you like $12.5 million any way you look at it it’s an awesome business,Guaranteed if this tool is available to them they wont want to do business without it, and the best thing is…. All it takes is a program that I need to put everything together and accomplish this, the program is hefty, I have gotten quotes and is anywhere from $200,000 to $500,000 which is chump change compared to the profits but I do not have this type of money I can go up to $100k but then I am flat broke, then I would not have the money to push start this project, I myself don’t have the right person to make this program and with limited funds I can really get myself into a nightmare plus I cant stop my everyday responsibilities and invest my own money because I would just drown, it would take 4 to 5 months to build and that’s me dedicating full time its just not possible but someone partnering and backing me becomes a different story, I can survive without making money for a whole year if I have to while the program and business is ready to launch, Another thing you would love is that all the inventory we would need is given to us to pay in 30 to 45 days and our end users pay C.O.D. or P.O.I and credit cards at the very most and only to a customer that buys at a higher level we would extend them a 15 day term to pay us, this business is a cash flow monster, that’s a beautiful thing as I am sure you can agree, And in my opinion, the best thing about this business is, it does not have anything to do with the Real Estate market, the Auto industry, the Banking industry and does have to do with Importing and exporting which in today’s views of the world is where to be in business, I would very much like the opportunity to sit down face to face and discuss all the details of this project I am presenting to you, if there is interest on your part please contact me any time. Dear Mr. Buffett, I am writing you for my cousin. She has been recently diagnosed with 2 types of lung cancer. She has a family that consists of 3 small children and a husband. She has tried different treatments, but none has worked so far. Now it is Christmas and it seems worse. She has just been put back into the hospital because one of the tumors are bleeding She is only in her 30’s. Her life has just begun. I know that her family and I would very much appreciate any type of assistance that you could kindly offer. Even if you can’t help maybe you know of some orginizations that can She has insurance, but she still has to pay 2,900 dollars for medications. Her husband spends most of his time with his wife and children, so he isn’t making that much. Please answer my comment. thanks for your time, the cousin

I don’t know if this will ever reach you Mr. Buffet, but my Mother and Aunt saw some type of ad or news headline on the morning show that ran December 10, 2007 stating your generosity for helping those in need that request it. I have a 3 year old daughter who has recently been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. We live in a rural area and therapy services are scant at best. However, in my search I have finally found the type of therapy that could lead to my daughter being a success in life and not a financial burden to society for the remainder of her life on earth. I had the therapy center put my daughter on the waiting list with a possible start date of March 2008. In the meantime, I have been searching, hoping and praying to find the funding necessary for this therapy. You see my husband and I do work and we do have insurance. However, insurance companies in the State of Missouri do not cover the types of therapy any children need when they receive any type of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis. As it stands right now we make too much money for my daughter to receive any assistance on the state or federal level. I will not give up though, no matter what it takes I believe with all my heart that it is imperative that my daughter get this therapy at this point in her life. I am convinced it will make the difference in her young adult life if she is able to become self sufficient or if she will have to eventually to got a long term care facility when I die. I am the only self pay this center has ever had and they are aware that I do not have the funding worked out at this time, but the still agreed to put me on the waiting list. Bottom line, they have defined the portions of monies that I will be responsible for as follows: On the first day the team of doctors come to our home to evaluate our daughter I have to have $840.00 cash, check or money order. You see this facility does not take credit cards. I would max everything I have out in a heartbeat to get my daughter what she needs to be a success and beat this horrible disorder that has tried to rob her of her life and ability to speak and communicate. After, that first visit the team will determine what amount of therapy she needs on a hourly, daily, weekly basis and what kinds, etc. Once that evaluation report is done (typically within the second week) I have to pay a total of $1,400.00 (cash, check or money order). After that the facility/center has agreed to bill me $420.00 monthly for an unspecified amount of time. The program is setup as a two year program, but until the intial evaulation is conducted we do not know how much will be recommended specifically for our daughter. I am planning to set up a trust fund at our local bank to put any donations received in that account to have it available for the bills when they start coming in. I figure that is the cleanest and safest way to track the money and keep everything on the up and up so people understand I am being honest and truthful. I have two other children and again, I do work, but as everyone else we live within our means and there is not alot extra at the end of the month. I respectfully humble myself to you for your consideration of this request.

Mr. Buffett,

I write because I am need of some financial help, and I am not looking for hand out, but hand up in life to get ahead.

I am a struggling single mom, and the ounce of hope I have is beginning to fade because I am tired of the struggle. I work hard everyday to support me and 5yr old little boy.

I read about your sister everyday and the blessing she bestows amongst the Fredericksburg, Va. community. She has been a blessing. I am one of the city residents that benefit from her kindness from the donation she made to the areas city pool. I may not can personally thank her for that, but please let her know that I am one of the many that appreciate what she has done.

I am a single parent because for 5yrs I was in a abusive relationship (physically, mentally, and verbal) and one day I decided I couldn’t do anymore, and I’ve moved on with my life but its a struggle to go from 2 incomes to one. I am blessed, and I will continue the best I can to make it.

After getting out of a abusive relationship. I have had some down falls (lay off’s, health issues, etc)but I have managed to rise back up, but I still have some debts that need to be paid. It is our dream (my son and I) to be blessed with our own home and I am determined to do it.

If you could find it in your heart to lend a helping hand. God knows I will be ever so greatful.

I just need and amount to pay off my debts to qualify for a home. WIth me trying to do it alone it may take another year or two. Maybe more.

Mr. Buffett, I know you get alot of people wanting your money; however, I am not asking for me. I heard the other day that you had so much money that you needed to buy something. Well, I have a proposition for you. I work for the Pulaski County Special School District and I’m also a parent in this district. I live and work in Jacksonville, Arkansas were about half of the County’s schools are. The District says it has no money to rebuild or even fix our schools, which are falling apart. My school, Jacksonville Elementary, is the oldest school in the city with one building being built in 1946 and the other being built in 1964. Our city has been trying for at least 3 decades to become our own school district. The desegragation laws are hindering that effort. Meantime, the County District spends all of their funds helping the more well-off neighborhoods by building new schools on the other side of the county. If truth be known, Jacksonville is a lower-income city; and the District doesn’t care about us. I love these kids and they diserve better schools. Please help the kids of Jacksonville, Arkansas by buying us new schools. Thank you for your time.
