Thanks. I still think GM was a bad decision on my part. I bought the stock following the Dogs Of The Dow strategy, which I have since abandoned. I am trying to buy stocks that I will hold for five, ten or more years. A look at this chart will show that it was a bad buy:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?t=my&s=GM&l=on&z=m&q=l&c=tgt
Look at how flat that GM line is for how many years! I would have liked to have had the extra $5 a share, but I am sure I will do better with the Target (TGT) than I would have with the GM stock.

Hey Rob,

Well I woke up this morning and turned on CNBC and heard an amazing story. Kirk Kerkorian wants to buy 28 MILLION shares of GM. And then I watched as GM soared 5 bucks a share.

I suddenly thought about the comments I left here beating you over the head about owning GM. Uhh .. well .. uhhh .. OOPS! lol

Who knew that looney old lech Kirk Kerkorian had one more run in his 85 year old body. How many people knew this guy was still alive, let alone able to get around without help?

If you had held on til today you could have gotten out in better condition. But, hey that's life right? Seriously, my bad on that GM advice, not that there was anyway to see this comming.

Also, I'm pretty cynical about this move by Kirk. He's done this before, with Chysler and no matter what he claims and no matter what the ass-kissers and bandwagon hoppers in the financial media (Jim Cramer) say, the Crysler deal was a big ol' scam and this probably is too. Not that that helps you any.

Just thought I would come by with my mea culpa.
