I totally agree with the above comments! I have been with advance for almost 7 years now. When I got hired, I loved this place! It was still privately owned then. In 2007 it went public, and we all started working for the shareholders…….. A HUGE mistake on the companies part.

Ever since then so much has changed, and mostly for the worst! I was an assistant for them in the begining making a decent wage at 50 hrs a week. There was a 2nd assistant at that time as well as full time key holders. There was also a sign that hung high saying; “our best part is our people”. When I saw that I thought that this was a great decision to start working here!

Well, now it’s 2012, that sign has since been replaced with one that says; “service is our best part” ( translation – we work our staff harder for the same or less pay), they have taken away the 50 hr assistant or removed the assistant manager completely from the store if you don’t consistently make 30,000 a week? That just destroys morale and there is NO manager to turn to when the GM is not there! There is NO 2nd assistant any more, and the CPP is now reduced to 40hrs a week down from 45.

Furthermore, if you don’t shoot 300 outs by Thursday it’s a write up, schedule done by Monday, a write up, 7 proactive visits to commercial accounts followed by 7 emails sent out with findings by Friday, another write up. Let’s not even talk about why our CAM visits aren’t enough, or the fact that they call and only talk to the cpp, but always see the GM? There’s a false perception! I am a GM who has put his two weeks notice in this past Friday due to this, and many other reasons! Just because the job market sucks doesn’t mean we are fucking slaves! Threatening and working out of fear died in the fifties!!! Be positive, and just let us sell auto parts damn it.

I was a top one percent GM in 2011! I know this is a corperation and you have to blanket the company when a decision is made, but COME ON! Yell at the managers who aren’t doing the job and stop holding those who are as responsible as those who aren’t!

The person that was bragging they had 425000km on their GM junk is lame. That is 264000 miles, and you can bet that vehicle is singing it’s swain song.Have any of you people ever read the reviews on witch vehicles have top ratings of quality and are long lasting. Some of you are stuck on stupid,Chrysler has nothing on those lists and GM has one and that has to be it’s looks.

Dear Me Buffet,
I know you get all kinds of requests from everyone under the sun. I won’t bore you right now with my story, except to say I’m disabled, and taking care of my elderly father. I was a single mom & raised two wonderful girls (had a good job & a home at one time). I now have mental health issues due to a very abusive relationship. My request is simple. I would like a loan to buy a modest home- even a mobile in a park, or an a small parcel of land would be ideal. My only request is that you hold my lean, and I would make payments to you. I would also be happy to do work for you- if possible. I really (only) it’s a lot to me right now- would need approx 25,000. I can’t even express how grateful I would be, it would be a dream come true~!!!!

Good morning Mister Warren Buffet. I am Mariana from Moldova. The country is situated between Romania and Ukrain. moldova. a country where people can not enjoy their life. Maybe you heard about our political situation, that they can not share the power for 5 years we dont have a president. its a desaster in this country.here for living we need 500-600$ but the salary is 100–200$. for 300$ they ask 3 years of experience. but how this if yungs only graduate the university. i graduated university, but work as seller at market… i have a son of 4, a dept to the bank and even can not pay my bills. what to do? help me please. any help will be ok. maybe somebody knows a work from home.

Its so sad how many people here are sooooo blinded by money… all i can say now is: you have to try it first before complaining. We are currently living in London and attended the 3 day intro-seminar for fun. After this we ended up enrolling to their advanced training that worth 29k sterling pounds. And boy, let me tell you this : IT IS WORTH IT!!!

now we have our own properties all across the UK and the 29k tuition that we paid came back 10 times fold.

and I thank Rich Dad education for this overwhelming success.

Why is everybody h_ll bent on pensions.. Maybe the federal governments are ou of control but the normal state pensions are funded by emplyee and employer.. The emplyee part is the only part you can draw out or retire on. the rest is left to keep the funds going. I am 40, contribute 10k to 401k, 7K to my pension, will have a real nice part time fire fighter retirement and hope like hell SS is there. I am lucky but have also WORKED my hole life for it.. Maybe all the free loaders should have to sweep streets for 8 hrs everyday before they can collect a check or get the free health care at the emergency room… Lets get back to america when everybody was a citizen and wanted to contribute to society and not feel sorry for themselfs and expect everybody else to take care of them!!
