5 comments about Smart Women Finish Rich: 9 Steps to Achieving Financial Security and Funding Your Dreams (Revised Edition).
  1. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to become wealthy and this book details how easy it can be. If you're looking for glitz and glamour and "get rich quick" this isn't it. There's no such thing as an overnight success. Read David's book and get going on the road to wealth.

  2. Smart Women Finish Rich is a bit different from other financial books I've read. I have to admit I was surprised with how well David Bach addressed both the emotional and intellectual relationship women have with money. His grandmother taught him well.

I am going to say that Smart Women Finish Rich is more for a financial beginner than a woman with financial savvy. It's a well thought out system of gaining and keeping control of your financial self-sufficiency. Bach has filled this book with definitions, resources, quizzes, systems, exercises and tables. I was impressed and give it a must read if you're serious about becoming more financially organized.

David Bach addresses both the heart and the head in Smart Women Finish Rich. He used the lessons he learned from his grandmother, and his mother, as inspiration. After growing up with two such powerful role models, he was surprised by the number of financially uniformed women. Many of the women who came to him for financial advice, had no clue about building financial security.

Smart Women Finish Rich is easy to understand. I read it and "got it." This is a "how to" book that involves a commitment on your part to read, work and put the assignments and lessons into daily practice. Bach has carefully given us valuable financial keys, now it's up to us to follow through.

What you'll get out of this book is going to depend on what you're willing to put into it. It's a book that has the potential to give you a great foundation for financial self-sufficiency.

Here are some of the areas I found particularly useful:

1.The first exercise, "Financial Knowledge Quiz" is a great practical place to start. I found it to be thoughtful and quite an eye-opener. I learned about how well (and sometimes not so well) I understood the role money played in my life.

    2. David Bach is adamant about pinpointing the reason money is important to you. To find this out, you'll need to examine your money values and ask yourself if your financial behavior matches those values. He provides a simple but thoughtful exercise called the "Values Ladder."

    3. Smart Women Finish Rich is a great blend of exercises, systems, quizzes and practical "real world" information. For example, the "Finish Rich File Folder System" is a simple, easy-to-follow and yet an organizational time saver.

I definitely give Smart Women Finish Rich five stars! If you're ready and serious about getting your financial house and monetary priorities in order, this is the book for you!

  3. I bought this book because I heard so many positive things about it. I am in my 50's, five years ago I went from having the wonderful life that all women dream of. I had the beautiful home in the suburbs, 2 beautiful children, friends, you name it I had it. Then I lost it all in the blink of an eye. I had relied on my husband to handle all the finances I couldn't tell you the balance in the check book. All I knew was he made the money and I spent it. Thank the Lord I was a RN, but I hadn't worked in quite a few years. I am not going to go into detail what happened but when I said I had nothing but the clothes on my back I mean just that. I have been working two jobs for the past five years making good money but I have NOTHING to show for it. By reading Suze book I was able to identify myself, it is so easy to understand that someone like myself with NO understanding of finance can take her suggestions and work them into my present life. It is going to take discipline on my part and learning to say NO to my children is going to be the hardest. But, I need to take care of myself. This book was just what I needed to read. I highlighted areas, I keep going back and re-reading certain sections. I keep it next to my bed. Buying this book was one of the best things I have done for myself.

  4. I think all women should read this book and share it with others (family and children). Not only does Mr. Bach discuss how saving a little here and there can help with retirement, but he also gives women inspiration to live out (and especially to finance) their dreams. A wonderful book.

  5. You all praising this book, how smart it is written, how valuable. But what are the fruits? Show them. Who can say that because of this book she got out of debts, bought a new house and moved from Harlem to 5th Avenue? Or smth like this? It seems to me that it is one more well-marketed book with no real advice in it. Everyone who wrote a review seems like struggling surviving individuals. I don't wanna join you guys if so. Please, who can tell any real outcome they had after reading this book, and then I will buy it.

5 comments about The Pre-Foreclosure Property Investor's Kit: How to Make Money Buying Distressed Real Estate -- Before the Public Auction.
  1. The information included in this book has made my job much easier and has expanded my knowledge base and expertise. The organization I have derived from it is most valuable.

  2. This is an excellent book by Thomas as he thoroughly takes you through the process of purchasing an investment property. He provides a wealth of resources on nearly every aspect of investing by listing websites and addresses.

His forms are great for providing you with an idea for approaching home owners. However, the tone of the letters are some what dismissive--but that's just my opinion.

The only area that needs enhancing is providing one with an idea as to estimate value in the property. He does not provide as much detail as others (i.e., Steve Berges "The Complete Guide to Real Estate Finance for Investment Properties"). With that said, it is an excellent resource and I highly recommend it.

  3. Excellent book. Very detailed. Absolutely convincded me that I wanted nothing to with this business. The author demonstrates that it is difficult and tricky business, potentially very lucrative, but not a get rich quick scheme. Since I would like to get rich without this much work, I'll pass on this method. And I truly thank this book for steering me right. I take off one star only for the author's occasional right wing rants. But I guess he's entitled. He worked very hard to get rich, and he shares his secrets openly in an inexpensive book, rather than trying to hoodwink you out of thousands by means of an infomercial. If he's got a few screwball political ideas, God bless him.

  4. I bought this book and then went to some training in Tennessee and was impressed with all the detail given on how to do a succesfull short sale. I have then applied these techniques in my real estate business to give me one more tool in my arsenal to make money.
    Sandy

  5. I think this is a great purchase... Just got it and I like the way the lessons are so far

5 comments about Zero Limits: The Secret Hawaiian System for Wealth, Health, Peace, and More.
  1. I've read many of Joe Vitale's other books, but this one is truly different. It is outstanding. It's all about how he came to know about and put into practice the art of Ho'opononono. I really enjoyed it.

  2. i demand that everyone read this book. this is a necessity for living today!!! total wonderful life changes can be achieved with the info described in the book.

  3. First, I love Joe Vitale's writing style: flowing, easy, casual, makes you really get to know him. So this, like all his books, is an easy read.

Second, it is full of inspiration and information. The technique itself was not allowed to be spelled out, but my husband and I have gotten plenty from doing only what little tidbits Joe was allowed (by Dr. Len) to reveal.

Though I am a bookworm, my husband has read maybe 3 books in the 14 years I have been with him. The fact that this was one of them says a lot about the book. We both have been through the whole workshop scene while in our 30s (which is where we met each other). Been there, done that. But we both signed up for Dr. Len's workshop mid way through the book.

Perhaps the most amazing testimonial is when Joe calls his intention techniques "kindergarten" compared to this one. Life really is about getting clear from all the programming and just letting in the Divine.

  4. I have received a message about the Zero Limits book being published in Czech republic (in Czech language) through friend of mine who already red the book and was absolutely amazed. I went on the internet and order it. When I started to read it I was so impressed immediately that I
could not stop reading until I was finished! I am familiar with several self - cleaning processes but the technique Ho`oponopono seems to me as the "right codes" from the Universe for everyone who is really ready to get 100% responsible for his life, the planet Earth and the Universe. I can only suggest the book to everybody. I am sure that each of you who are already reading these reviews are coming with in inside search for a Real Truth which you can find here.
I love you. I`m sorry. Please, forgive me. Thank you!
    Gabriela

  5. The audio version sound just like someone reading the book, which is what you might expect since it is an audio version of the book. Over half of the book are just personal testimonies. A lot of marketing but little content.

5 comments about One Up On Wall Street : How To Use What You Already Know To Make Money In The Market.
  1. I thought this book was an abreviated version of the full book, however this book is actually a miniture ~2inch micro-pocket version of the full book. Text is full size, thus it only contains a very few high-level comments. I was hoping for a boiled-down version, but got mini-me.

  2. I was going to do some online trading and bought this book too learn more about selecting stocks. Mr. Lynchs' statement that he considered himself successful if 6 out 10 stocks he selected increased in value changed my mind. I want to thank him for waking me up. I will stick to index funds and wish all the online traders the best of luck.

  3. I struggled with the 1st 74 pages or so, but after that this book is excellent. There is a section he titles Kicking the Tires, in short he goes over how to evaluate a company and to stay away from the 1-2 year fly away companies. I remember when everyone was selling Apple back in the day, Peter did the opposite and started gobbling up shares. As he somewhat states, the wheels on Apple were still good.

  4. Peter Lynch wrote a classic with One Up on Wall Street. Peter Lynch was lead investment manager of the Magellan Fund, which is arguably the most successful large $ mutual fund in the US. He no longer manages the fund but in his book he lets us in on some of his secrets of choosing stocks.

His approach is rather simple. Buy stock in something that you know. As a consumer and a personal investor we have the ability to know products before anyone on the street knows about them. For example he got in on the stock Yum Brands because he bought a Taco Bell burrito years ago when it first came out. He believed that their set up and approach would work and so he put some money into the company.

His suggestions like listening to things Oprah likes are great simple tips that a typical investor may not even realize we have more information on than wall street on a daily basis. His book is a read for all investor types from beginner to advanced. Enjoy!

  5. Amateur investors have "numerous built-in advantages, which, if exploited, should result in outperforming the market and the experts."

Peter Lynch, America's number-one money manager of Fidelity's multibillion-dollar Magellan Fund, shows the layperson how to use what they already know to outperform the "experts" and to create investments on businesses that really matter.

5 comments about Emerging Real Estate Markets: How to Find and Profit from Up-and-Coming Areas.
  1. Awesome! Wish I had read and applied this book 2 years ago...before the market started its crash. As the owner (once proud) of 45 homes...some appreciated 100% in 2 years -- but due to market cycles -- now I am wishing I had a crystal ball. Well Dave gives you the understanding to have your own crystal ball!

  2. This book is the BEST I have read in a very long time regarding market timing entrance and exit based on US geography. Dave is an "expert" investor that speaks with authority on the subject. As I read along I realized all the mistakes I have made over the years. If I only had this book 5 years ago! Great job Dave!

  3. Several years ago David Lindahl was a eager young student of Marc Garrison the author of "Unlimited Real Estate Profit". David even appears on Marc's 21 DVD course. What David has done with his new book is to rip off Marc's work on emerging absorption markets. You should go to Marc's website narei.com to find out more. I would encourage you to read his website selection "The Fifth Migration" and "The Garrison Cycle". Marc started investing in 1978. His profit from his real estate paid for 2 undergraduate degrees, an MBA, then he started work on a Ph.D. in real estate economics. That academic study led him to an understanding of which markets to invest in, which ones to hold in, and which ones to sell in.

I met Marc on one of his BuyingTours. Talk about fantastic. For the past 22 years Marc has knocked home run after home run in 18 new absorption markets. In July of 08 he will open up his 19th emerging absorption market. If you want to be sold / telemarketed contact David Lindahl.

I far prefer Garrison's style - when you call you can talk with Marc if he is not busy. But, if he is busy he will personally call you back as soon as he can. I have studied under 7 or 8 Gurus to date. Marc is the only one that I have ever been able to personally talk with. Marc is a breath of fresh air in the sweat shop hard core telemarketed snake oil sales routine.

  4. My god...I read entirely too much!! Now, I'm not going to lie to you and say that Dave doesn't plug his bootcamps and stuff however, I can honestly say he is the real deal. The dude knows his stuff!! I think the title, "Understanding Real Estate Market Cycles and How To Profit From Them", would have been a little better though.(but what do I know)
Nonetheless, it's a great book and a good introduction to Dave and his methodology.
Can you read his book and then go out there and do it? It depends truthfully. Are you the type of person that needs someone to hold their hand and walk them around the block to show them the scary spots....or are you the type that can realisticlly pull themselves up by their own bootstraps and is willing to stumble a little?
Personally, I'm an active real estate investor in both SFR and multi-family units (duplex, tri, quads) and I still go to seminars and learn the ropes before venturing too far out.
Hey...in a nutshell...BUY THE BOOK READ IT DO IT!! Geez, it's only $20 bucks.

  5. Reviewed by Carol Hoyer for Reader Views (10/08)

While "Emerging Real Estate Markets" is a very informative book, the reviewer did not find anything different than most books like this she has read. Mr. Lindahl has a very straightforward approach that leaves no questions. However, the one concern is that many first-time investors will not have the income or desire to purchase multi-apartment units.

The author takes a potential investor through four phases of the buyers' market, from oversupply of properties to the selling of your properties. He gives examples of how to do this, as well as what to avoid. One chapter discusses red flags of property management companies. Examples of this include higher than average vacancy; increase in notice to vacate and not completing deferred maintenance.

Chapter 8 discusses the 10 biggest mistakes investors make and how to avoid them. This was interesting, but the reviewer felt it was pretty much common sense. Overall, I felt the book was an interesting read; there were many points that were quite valid. However, several times readers were referred back to his website to obtain more materials. I think a good self-help book like "Emerging Real Estate Markets" by David Lindahl would give you all the information you would need to have a basic knowledge.

5 comments about One Year to an Organized Life: From Your Closets to Your Finances, the Week-by-Week Guide to Getting Completely Organized for Good.
  1. A picked up one helpful "jewel" from this book. That you need to understatnd what, in your past, makes you behave the way you do in order to change your behavior. This tidbit made it worth the cost of the book and the time to read it. You can staighten things up, but if you don't change your behavior, then it won't last. Other than that, the "Just Do It" attitude and the importance of taking things a step at a time are well presented in this book.

  2. I loved reading though this book and imagining what my life could be like if I implemented the wonderful room-by-room systems outlined here. The book made me feel as though I could really finally clean out my attic, find time to vacuum under the beds, balance my checkbook, plan ahead for meals, and recoup a large tax deduction from Goodwill after I collected and donated all my family's unused clothes, toys and knick-knacks. And I'm going to do every single one of those things -- after I start my novel and truly dedicate to flossing everyday.

Unfortunately the book does not come with Dobby the House-Elf to actually perform all of these tasks, or at the very least kick me in the behind until I start doing them.

But my personal shortcomings aside, this is a wonderful reference for those enterprising slobs who can actually do more than daydream about being able to start each day without digging through the laundry mountain for clean underwear and coming across that earring they lost five months ago.

I recommend purchasing this volume and keeping it on your bedside table -- for the shaming factor, if for nothing else.

  3. I like how she divides things up to a room, group of rooms, or other group to organize your home. This method breaks it down to manageable pieces that don't overwhelm you.

  4. Out of all the organizing books I've read--more than I'd like to admit--Regina Leeds' "One Year to an Organized Life" stands out as the most comprehensive and inspiring book yet.

The book is organized into 12 sections--one for each month of the year, starting with January, although as Regina points out, there's no time like the present to get started. She takes you through not only the main areas of your home--the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom all get their own sections, as well as "common rooms" and, intriguingly, "hidden areas" which includes the attic, basement, garage, laundry and guest rooms--but also devotes sections on travel, entertaining, creating a festive atmosphere, and paper organization. I'm especially drawn to July's section, titled, "Fun in the Sun: Scrapbooks, Memorabilia, Greeting Card Collections, and Your Address Book." There are also sections on Back-to-School and Moving, both of which offer general tips and strategies anyone can apply--even those who don't have kids or are planning to move.

The sections contain an introduction, a summary, and four chapters that correspond with the weeks in a month. Each chapter opens with a bulleted list, encouragingly titled "This week you can," followed by a time estimate for how long it takes to complete the task. The short essay at the beginning of the section introduces the "Habit of the Month," while a week-by-week summary, followed by a "Bonus tip," and "Affirmation of the Month," provides review and closure.

It's been two months now since I received "One Year" and the difference in my home is evident in almost every single room. Just following the "Habit of the Month" alone can make a significant difference. While some reviewers apparently are uncomfortable about the spiritual aspect of organizing that is part and parcel of Leeds' approach, I LOVE this about the book. It's obvious that organizing is so much more than learning "tips or tricks." The perils of chaos--and the benefits of organizing--are undeniably linked to one's emotional health. If you want to get organized and treat yourself in the process, I recommend curling up with a nice cup of tea and plotting your own year to an organized life.

  5. Excelent book, love it...it is very, very, very helpfull to learn how to be an organize person!

5 comments about The Attractor Factor: 5 Easy Steps for Creating Wealth (or Anything Else) From the Inside Out.
  1. I've read Spiritual marketing. I also read the first version of The Attractor Factor - but I'd borrowed it from the library.
So, since the first two versions "worked" at least enough for me to feel flush enough to purchase this version I figured, it would be good to have in my library.

There is not much new in this version, I'm not a fan of the quiz in the beginning telling me where to start but I did like the addition of space to write in the book -- in essence - forcing me to complete the exercises.

This time around I think I really grasped more of the message that Vitale is trying to pass on and feel more at peace with my own complicity in my life's situations. My life is fine, but sure, I'm expecting more prosperity, but I'm not desperate for it like I have been in the past. I think that is the essence of the book. Reading it alone won't get you there, it's a mindset.

I can also clearly see the hypnotic writing which Vitale is famous for at play in the book. I see why people would buy his book/s and run out to buy the next, sign up for his trainings or his coaching programs --it's woven into every nook and cranny of the book. Is that a bad thing? No! I don't think it's covert, I think it's right out in the open.

The bottom line is -- if you're ready to do the WORK, take ACTION and make steps toward your perfect life - this book is full of practical ways to do that, with some good points to ponder as well. If, on the other hand you're looking for a quick fix or a guarantee change in your life after reading it -- get real. Fix yourself and your thinking, and the approach the book with a beginner's mind and do the exercises. It will help!

  2. I saw Joe on the Secret and Joe just spoke to me. He is a regular guy with a great success story from streets to wealth. With so many of the same types of books out there I was drawn to Joe's story. I had purchased the "Missing Secret" CD set and they both have the same message but work well together. I liked being able to write in the book so I can go back and referrence where I started to see how I progress. It is not my choice to be on the street and experience that, I will skip that part and write my own success story.

  3. I have read most of Joe Vitale's books and this is my favorite! I listen to the audio version over and over... Having put many of the processes in motion, this material continues to positively impact my life. You must experience this for yourself - it's truly powerful. Then, when you're done with this book, follow it by getting his Awakening series. I am so grateful that I attracted Joe's work into my life! I sure would love to be one of his Miracles Coaches... Be Happy Now!

  4. After the Secret , Joe Vitale Book The Attractor Factor is a must -read for all persons having loved the film. The book teach futher the principles of the Secret and Joe 's personal experience on how to Get Clear is fabulous .
Great Job.Keep it up .God Blesss you .

  5. Too much hype for his other items. Not enough meat of the subject. Much too fluffy.

5 comments about Developing the Leader Within You.
  1. This book was good for me, with my little experience in leadership. He keeps the concepts very easy to understand. He adds tons of examples and real life stories throughout the book. I enjoyed having examples, because it made the concepts he was discussing make more sense. I would recommend this to anyone in early leadership.

  2. Great leadership book - very inspiring and takes one through how to closely develop inherent leadership skills. Also loved "Running with the Rhinos" in relation to this as well. Running with the Rhinos: Courageous Leadership for a Complex World

  3. I ordered what I believed to be a "NEW" book, but it came to me as a "USED" book, even with a personal inscription inside to the previous owner. I was annoyed but on a 'time crunch' for a class using this book, so I couldn't send it back for a new one. I will be more cautious, IF I purchase from Amazon again or from the Seller, "nonchalantd". In fact, the "condition" on the product detail said, 'NEW'. Deceiving or blatant lie?

  4. Developing the Leader within you by John Maxwell is a great starting point to learn about leadership. In it, Dr. Maxwell describes what leadership is (influence), the five levels of leadership, and what you need to do in order to become an effective leader. Having served in several leadership positions in both the military and IT consulting industry, I think that the lessons, insights, and advise contained within the book are very helpful.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is new to leadership, or wanting to learn about it. As other reviewers have noted, Developing the Leader within You is a great stating point. For those who are not leaders, it is worth reading so that you understand what an effective leader looks and acts like. Lastly, I do think this book is great for experienced leaders who may need a reminder what it is all about.

  5. Developing the Leader Within You by John C. Maxwell, is an well-written manual that provides a step-by-step guide for developing yourself as a leader and how to extract those same qualities from the people the you work with. I read John C. Maxwell's Developing the Leader Within You as part of an assignment for a Small Group Communication class at the University of Pittsburgh. The book I chose to read for this assignment had to be of some interest to my career, and I chose this particular book because I am fairly involved on campus and the book helped me a great deal in my present leadership positions. Also, as someone who intends to become fairly successful post graduation, I thought that reading this book was a great step in the right direction for improving my leadership skills in the future. Being the first book on leadership that I have read, I found it to be inspiring and motivating. The lessons taught in the text provide sound advice not just for becoming a better leader, but for everyday life as well. Even if you are at a point in your career where you are primarily a follower, you can still benefit from Maxwell's teachings and observations.
Among the most important topics covered in the book are how to develop your most appreciable asset: people, and the importance of having a solid vision within your organization or work environment. Maxwell highlights the idea that the one who influences others to follow only is a leader with certain limitations and one who influences others to lead others is a leader without limitations. I thought that was very motivating and it really helped me to focus my own leadership skills and style to have a bigger impact on the leaders that I am trying to develop here at the University of Pittsburgh. Another aspect of the book that I thought was very interesting his thoughts on the importance of vision as the indispensable quality of leadership. He argues, with vision, the leader is on a mission and a contagious spirit is felt among the crowd until others begin to rise alongside the leader.
In short, I would recommend this book if you want to improve your self-discipline, organizational skills, or people skills, even if you are not currently in a leadership position, but seeking one. This book can be helpful to more people than just those who lead by profession.

  1. Always wanted to read this classic and now I have. I think I'll post his "tips" all around to remind myself of how to handle various situations with people!

  2. Originally published in 1936, How to Win Friends and Influence People is the archetype of the practical human relations handbook. It is based on courses in public speaking that had been taught in adult education by Dale Carnegie since 1912 (and to put to rest a popular assumption, he was no relation to the magnate Andrew Carnegie). It is an unusual little book, written in a highly personalized, colloquial style that is reminiscent of a lecture. What's separates this book from others that have come and gone since the 1930s is it's timeless. It is written with a certain earnestness: Carnegie was a big believer in sincerity when it came to dealing with other people. As you read it, you'll find it incredible how easily you relate to the suggestions of a man that penned them more than 70 years ago.

The book opens with fundamental techniques for dealing with people, such as refraining from criticism, expressing sincere appreciation, making people like you by smiling, remembering names, and being a good listener. Final sections describe approaches for persuading people to your way of thinking and how to change people without causing offense or resentment. These positive principles are stated succinctly and illustrated with pertinent, if occasionally outmoded, anecdotes.

While critics have charged that Carnegie emphasized good manners and friendliness over proficiency, the author clearly states that his target audience is competent individuals who are less than successful because they lack people skills, a group that would be well served by his sensible guidance. This book was designed with professionals in mind, and designed to help professional people do better in business by helping them make social contacts and improve their speaking skills. I know that few books have helped me in my career as much as this one.

Another book I very strongly recommend because it's an incredible pairing to Carnegie that has helped me immensely is The Emotional Intelligence Quick Book

  3. The most essential skill to success is mastering the art of relationships. This classic book shows you how to create genuine relationships with people so that you may take power and responsibility of your life. Anyone who wants to succeed with people must master the strategies and techniques within this book.

This is the first book of its kind. It's wise to learn from the original source that everyone else is just rewriting and regurgitating.

  4. Since the end of World War II, literally thousands of books have been written about how to improve professionally and personally. Every single one of them can be traced directly back to two books, Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich" and this classic work of Dale Carnegie's, HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE.

Webster's Online dictionary defines "classic" as `serving a standard of excellence; historically memorable'. This book serves up the standard of excellence today as it did when it was first published and is definitely historically memorable. It's quite possible that Napoleon Hill and Dale Carnegie have positively influenced more lives than any other writer's and their influence continues long after they've left this earth.

Some may consider this book outdated, and thanks to our public school system, many of the historical figures of the early twentieth century that are mentioned here will be unknown to many readers. But consider this an opportunity not just to begin building a life of success, but to gain a brief introduction to some of the industrial giants and other notable business people of a century ago. These are, after all, the people who helped shape the modern era of our great country.

There are certainly a wealth of great modern day teachers who might make some of this material more meaningful to today's reader. Stephen Covey, Brian Tracy, Jack Canfield and many others come to mind. I certainly recommend you study the modern day gurus of success and life enhancement, but if your goal is to improve your business or personal life, your library simply must include this book. This is one of those books you will go back and re-read every couple of years and if you're like me, you'll recall its many lessons on a daily basis.

  5. One problem with Kindle and ebooks is that so many unqualified people can create them. This Kindle edition is full of typos. This book is in the public domain so it has been worked over many times. We need to know the source that was used to copy the work. It is obviously different from other versions. Is this a copy of the original? Or updated version? And how much was added or changed by the copier?

It's like trying to follow a map that someone has edited.
