1 comments about The Secret Law of Attraction as Explained By Napoleon Hill.
- I thought I was familiar with the works of Napoleon Hill and when I saw this I was puzzeled but ecstatic. I purchased the CD set, took it home and found out it was a rehash of his works by Bill Hartley. Save your money. I returned mine because the people who made it are liars. Doesn't say anything about the fact it's a "bastardization" of Napoleon Hill's works. Buy the real, unabridged books by Napoleon Hill.

5 comments about Think and Grow Rich - Complete Original Text: Special 70th Anniversary Edition.
- One of the original sources for many of the 'self-help' books available today, Napoleon Hill's classic is a must read for readers who enjoy these types of books. This book continues to be on best-seller lists, even though nearly eight decades have passed since its original publication - a true testemont to the stregnth of the ideas presented here.
- Written more than 70 years ago and the ideas still pertain to life today. There are some ideas of Napoleon's that I do not agree with however many are "right on"! This book will help you gain awareness and conciousness and help you in your spiritual journey.
- After finishing "Think and Grow Rich" I have suddenly realized that this simple slogan is the single way of life in a capitalist society. In this book, as the only way of getting rich, the author advocates goal-directed way of life, purposefulness, constant self-perfection, courage, the skill to think and to act, and the other similar traits of character.
Many people came to a conclusion that the wealth, in some extent, depends on a level of education, motivation, self-esteem, and so on. The problem is that not all the people in equal extend incline to the education, to their self-improvement. This is because of the differences of their needs, habits, abilities, capabilities, and so on. Leo Tolstoy in his novel "Resurrection" arose a question of how to improve the level of education within a society: from inside of each individual or from outside? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Should first the level of education of each and every individual be risen which yields a revolution (dialectic transition of quantity into quality) or the revolution should make the environment to foster the education of every individual?
The traits advocated by Napoleon Hill correspond to the first Leo Tolstoy's way of improving society. If each and every individual will improve, the society will automatically improve. The second way of Leo Tolstoy (create the environment which will foster the education of every individual) is contrary to Napoleon Hill's ideas: "if something is got for free or without big effort, it won't be appreciated, won't be handled with care or you won't trust it". Free education and medical care won't be respected properly by people, regardless how good this education and medical care are. That's why the socialist society will develop slower than capitalist. Marxists knew this and have built the concept of World revolution (to overthrow of capitalism in all countries), and a further idea by Trotsky that it was impossible to build socialism in a single country. Trotsky wrote that the socialist economy is not as efficient as capitalist and without the World revolution the USSR won't be able to overcome its economic underperformance.
Napoleon Hill praises the freedom and opportunities of the capitalist society of the U.S. in particular, which gives, according to Napoleon Hill, boundless opportunities for an individual who is able to think and grow rich.
I also recommend "The Road to Serfdom" by F. A. Hayek in addition to this book. Although "Think and Grow Rich" is a classical self-help book for a general reader while "The Road to Serfdom" is mostly academic, I think that both of them should be read.
- There are perhaps a half-dozen or so exceptional"financial" books that I've read over the years. This is one of them. Wish I had read this in my late teens or early 20's instead of discovering it in my 30's or 40's. I gave this book as a gift to my daughters when they first entered the working world and continue to give this book as a gift to other young persons.
- Who hasn't heard of the classic book, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill? Is it a book about positive thinking or is it a book about wealth building? The answer: Both! After sixty plus years, this book is still selling millions of copies worldwide and for good reason.
I first read this famous book over twenty years ago. In all honestly, I can say Think and Grow Rich changed by life for the better. The concept that my mind could control my ability to make or not make money was an entirely new realization for me. This book, more than any of my formal education, gave me the training and direction I needed to become more successful and self-satisfied personally, professionally and financially.
Napoleon Hill was an intellectual pioneer in the wealth building movement. His research and study for this book is probably one of the most read, quoted and imitated on the subjects of success and wealth. Around the world, this classic has sold over 15 million copies. One caveat: It was published in the 1920-30's by a man who wrote it primarily for men - it can be sexist. BUT it's the over-all message that makes it a time-proven classic.
Andrew Carnegie commissioned Napoleon Hill to research and discover why some people succeeded despite all odds to become successful millionaires while others, and sometimes with even greater opportunities, could barely make ends meet. Hill interviewed the greatest entrepreneurial leaders of his time - Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison and more. Napoleon Hill devoted years to studying, understanding, interrupting and writing about success.
Hill determined that the truly successful men he interviewed shared certain mental qualities in common. These common qualities became the thirteen steps of Think and Grow Rich. Hill believed that by understanding and applying these thirteen steps, you could live a full, meaningful and wealthy life.
Napoleon Hill discovered that the human mind is our greatest wealth-building ally. Most people, he concluded, were "afraid" of poverty. They literally were programming their mind to be and stay poor. Hill concluded that most of us focus energy on not being poor instead of becoming wealthy. Becoming wealthy is an entirely different mind-set than not being poor. We waste valuable time and energy on avoiding poverty instead of accumulating wealth.
Hill spends the majority of the book explaining the power of the human mind. What you think about and focus on most often, becomes your reality. Becoming and staying wealthy, Hill explains, is as much mental as it is about physically making money. This may sound straightforward today, but back in the 1920's and 1930's it was revolutionary.
Hill concluded: When you combine reasoning skills with imagination, an unwavering belief and then take positive consistent action - wealth can be yours! Basically, "wealth consciousness" is achieved by making the conscious decision to become wealthy. With belief, positive thought and consistent positive action, you're allowing yourself to become wealthy faster.
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is the classic read for developing an unstoppable mind-set for successful wealth building. I've personally read and/or listened to this book many times.
Wealth is more than accumulating money; it's a conscious and subconscious mind-set and lifestyle. Wealth is about having the money to enjoy living life. Wealth is an energy that flows in and out of your life. It's our responsibility to tap into this energy and create and maintain an abundant and wealthy life.

- This is the original classic personal-growth and wealth-building book that all the self-help "Guru"s have been copying and imitating. Buy this and learn from the original. Buy this and learn the classic techniques the new-age thinking was built on, and that the "New-Wage" hucksters imitate without crediting it.
- A little dated but his kind of information is timeless. Positive thinking to the max. Wonderful, simple book that sets forth basic principles for living a prosperous, healthly life.

5 comments about Your Right To Be Rich.
- I have the print version of Think and Grow Rich as well as this set of CD's and they nicely complement one another. While much of what is in the CD can be gleaned from the book, it is good to listen to Mr. Hill's lectures to reinforce the material.
That said, I must say I made the mistake of listening to the CD's in the car while commuting to and from work. The angst of driving in Southern California doesn't allow for proper attention to be paid to the material in the recordings. My suggestion is that you find a quiet, isolated place to listen to the CD's and then really focus on what Mr. Hill is saying. He is full of knowledge and is also an entertaining speaker. You will not get bored listening to him! It will be so much more valuable than zoning out watching mindless, worthless television shows.
Much of what he says is really nothing more than common sense but it is helpful to have it all contained in one setting, plus how many of us know what we ought to do but don't do it? I believe if a person truly applies the principles and techniques advocated by Mr. Hill, there is no doubt they will be successful.
The Amazon price for the 9-CD set is well worth it. Just make sure you set yourself up in the proper listening environment, then act on what he says.
- Mr. Hill has the success system that never fails. This is one of the men that Anthony Robbins copied to build his personal power series. A very good buy.
- I love this audiobook set. It is helping me understand my business and explode it to the top better than any audiobook I have ever purchased.
Mr. Hill is definitly the best motivator I have ever listened too. His practical approach to Life as well as Business is amazing. Every household need this book and apply the principles taught in this Audiobook.
- Absolutely the most amazing lecture series I have ever heard. I have never heard Hill speak but you can just tell he is absolutely committed to his philosophy by being such a shining example of it! He was paid a pittance when he was interviewing the hundreds of successful people that Andrew Carnegie introduced for Hill. It took him around 20 years to get all that data into a systematic philosophy for personal success! Who else would be more qualified to speak on personal success than Hill?!?
This lecture series contains material that is not in Think and Grow Rich and the Keys to Success books. This should be the bible of success for everyone!
- I listen to this in my iPod - it's a great motivational program!! I don't agree with his views on dating though.

5 comments about Law of Success: The 21st-Century Edition: Revised and Updated.
- THIS BOOK AT TIMES CAN BE VERY PRACTICAL. IT WILL NOT MAKE YOU RICH OR SUCCESSFUL. ALL ANY BOOK CAN DO IS MOVE YOU TOWARDS ACTION, AND PERHAPS ALTER YOUR THINKING. THATS THE MAIN MESSAGE THIS BOOK TEACHES. YOU HAVE CONTROL OVER ONLY ONE THING AND THAT IS YOUR THOUGHTS. AND SO THE 17 LAWS THIS BOOK PRESENTS ARE 17 WAYS YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR THINKING. ONLY FOR THOSE WHO ARE DOWN TO EARTH AND ARE WILLING TO COMMIT THEMSELVES. UNLIKE OTHER "SELF HELP" BOOKS OUT THERE, I.E. WISHY WASHY CRAP LIKE 'THE SECRET', THIS CAN ACTUALLY HELP STEER YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. I RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY.
- It tells how and encourages on how one shouldn't easily give up in life after going through even the last phase of trials. It is living while trying only that you have a guide book to refer to of what you should or shouldn't have done.
Best read.
- Great book to read and have for your library. The only thing I don't like about is that it's bound like a school textbook. However, the content compensates that.
- This is a truly outstanding book. However, if you wish to read ANY of Napolean Hill's work stay away from anything published by Highroads Media. What they did in both Law of Success and Think and Grow Rich is change the text to the way they think it should read. The changes made to both books are obvious and definately change the meaning of the books. Stay away from any work published by these people and opt to find editions that are true to the original text.

5 comments about Napoleon Hill's Positive Action Plan: 365 Meditations For Making Each Day a Success.
- A very successful person once told me to make success training a priority, to work harder on myself than I do at my job. I did just that by purchasing several of Napolean Hills books and programs, this one included.
In meditations, Hill offers us a meditation a day to take mediocrity away. That's all it takes; just one meditation per day. This book should be read along with Think and Grow rich. Keep a copy by your nite stand in your bedroom and read one meditation per day, morning and evening and watch what it does for you!
- Napoleon Hill is the recognized expert on all things success. In this book, Hill reveals how you can grow rich, and keep your mental act together at the same time. Typical of Hill's writing style, the book is easy to read, and features numerous examples from his real life experience. Specifically, this book covers, among many other things:
Devloping a winning attitude.
Spotting opportunities.
Using teamwork.
Gaining peace of mind.
This book focuses on achieving success through positive relationships and a healthy mental attitude. For more information on achieving financial success, you may want to read "The 17 Principles of Creating Wealth," by Phillip Collinsworth.
- I love this book. I use it often for daily inspiration. I have even typed the daily thoughts, categorized by month, into Microsoft Word. I then printed & filed them in my daily planner. Reading one every morning helps focus my mind on what is important. Love the writings on personal character.
- I am hard pressed to rate any material of Napoleon Hill's negatively as his original works are among the most profound books I have read on personal achievement. The content presented in Napoleon Hill's Positive Action Plan in undeniably worthy advice as would be expected of anything using Hill's thoughts as a basis.
Many of the books now prepared by the Napoleon Hill foundation and presented as if written by Hill himself share the same weakness, as they are mere rewritten accounts and/or summarizations of Hill's thoughts without any new or fresh substance. Unfortunately this book does not rise above this status as it merely summarized 365 pieces of advice presented in other Napoleon Hill books. The entire book is also attainable by signing up for free email quotations from the Napoleon Hill Foundation.
Napoleon Hill's principles are timeless, and thus the summary format in this book is not without value; however, if you are seeking anything more than a refresher, I recommend passing on this book and sticking to the original books actually written by Napoleon Hill himself such as Think and Grow Rich.
- This is a Great Book, with easy Positive things that one can do and has many Great Positive things that are life changing. A Must read for everyone.Highly Recommended.
