1. This is an excellent book on Conjoint Analysis. It was easy to read and understand.



2. This -- unfortunately -- is a terrible book. It is badly in need of editing. It is obvious from the authors' introductory chapter that their command of the English language is marginal at best. It would have helped to have a native English speaker review the manuscript before publication.
   Even worse, the level of the contributed papers varies so widely that this book cannot serve as either an introduction or as a survey for knowledgable readers. I was hoping that at least one paper would explain the basics of conjoint analysis. But most of the authors either avoided technicalities, or else assumed that readers were already familiar with the model and its variants. Not one of them bother to explain the terminology, to write down a model clearly and succinctly, and to explain how the analysis works.
   Overall, this was quite a disappointing book

1. In my work I must review large data bases. We typically fit various models to the data. I've used the method of least squares to perform the analyses and found a reference to Wolberg's book. After reading several chapters I realized that there were several important aspect of this method that I wasn't aware of. I found the discussion of available software particularly helpful as well as the analysis of errors. Least Squares is a very powerful technique and this book provides a very complete discussion of the method.

1. this book is a basic text book introductory to the org. development comes very handy to org. consulting students and practitioners. it covers in a rather shallow fashion systematically most aspects of the subjects, activities of this occupation. it can be used as a basic but exhaustive reference.

1. Nothing really special, you have to buy it if your course require it.



2. This book is brutal - poorly written, bad examples. I was asked by someone forced to use this book for a class for help. We ended up using my old stats book to actually understand the concepts.
   
   If you have a choice between buying this book or throwing your money in the street - take the street option - at least that's quick and painless. In the end either option will leave you with the exact same understanding of basic statistics.
