1. For the price I was hoping I would find some gems and save some time. What I received was a 51 page "book" that looks similar to something an 8th grader could produce and write with a home computer/printer. Mr. Ingram offers, "ANY STOCK WHICH HAS A CONSECUTIVE THREE DAY DOWNWARD MOVE, ON THE FOURTH DAY IS A MUST BUY." That sums it up...go to Vegas and wait for red or black to come up three times, etc. Maybe 1/4 of 1 good idea is contained. Very overpriced.

1. Since the advent of the web, many of us can now get financial information far more easily and quickly than in the past. So much so that one might need guidance to the best/most reliable websites. Hence Jiao has produced this book.

   But this type of book ages quickly. The listing of over 1400 websites with financial data is indeed quite useful. But it can easily grow stale. This type of information is better maintained on a website.

   By contrast, other portions of the book have slightly greater utility. The classification of the various investment subjects that a reader should be aware of is good. And likewise for the general description of desirable traits in a website. However, when Jiao then assesses the main websites in each subject, that too ages badly.

1. Mr. Carroll has put together an extremely helpful stock trading reference resource geared toward the day trader, yet useful to even casual investors. The guide is compact, easy to carry around and organized by industry which allows the user to obtain information quickly and easily. If you are a frequent trader or simply "in the market", this is an invaluable resource.



2. I very rarely review a book. However, in this case, I felt I should offer a forewarning to those who may consider purchasing this book. If you are like me, after receiving it, you will wonder why it cost as much as it does! There is nothing in this book that can not be obtained online and elsewhere in very little time. The bulk of the book is a listing of the companies included in various indexes (e.g., S&P 100) and companies sorted by industry sector. There's nothing wrong with the book; I just don't understand how the content supports the price. Personally, I would be embarrassed to sell this book at this price.
