Investing to One Million Dollars or Bust!

Google

I got a letter this weekend regarding the $71000 total disbursement from my mom’s thift plan. It says that it was requested on 1/26. Requested? By who? Not by me. I hadn’t any contact with these bozos since I got the thrift plan straigtened out 10 months ago. I was told I would get 51 payments, but I only got 10 and total disbursement. I tried to get ahold of the manager I talked to before, but she is always on the phone. I talked to one of the low level peons (named Cindy) yesterday, and she said it was currently being researched (started by my phone call on Friday), and that I should hear something back within 2 business days from the first call. So I am supposed to hear something back by the end of the day. So if I don’t I am going to be calling them back tomorrow, and demand to talk to a manager. I will not be happy. I am not happy now! Who requested the total disbursement? It took me months of phone calls, and a letter from my lawyer to get access to the account that was rightfully mine (they kept cancelling my pin #s, and sending me new ones that were invalid when I got them). I thought I was done messing with these jerks, now I am back dealing with them again. I am constantly fearfull that they will screw something up, and my pin # will be cancelled. But now I get this letter saying that a total disbursement was requested. Again by who? Did they give someone else access to my mom’s thrift plan? They said no, that it was probably a computer error. That doesn’t make me feel better.

I did have a lot of pages in Google. I noticed today that my traffic seems to be kind of slow. I did a ’site:zero2rich.com’, and found a much smaller number of pages in Google than I used to have. Not sure why. Maybe it has something to do with my downtime yesterday. Maybe it has something to do with Google’s constantly changing algorithms. Who knows. Hopefully it is temporary. I am still getting traffic from other search engines: MSN Search, Yahoo, etc.

Wordpress 2.0 has a new feature that allows you to edit a plugin through the admin menu. Or if it was there before, I never noticed. I have updated themes remotely with no problems. Today I attempted to edit one of my plugins. Apparently I made a syntax error and toasted my site my for several hours until I could get home and re-upload a correct version. Ouch! I won’t do that again!

I was just checking my bank balance, and saw that I had $73000 in savings. Where the heck did that come from. I went in and looked, and saw a $1479.94 depoect from my mom’s pension plan. Follow by another deposit of $71379.35 also from my mom’s pension plan. Ouch! I am supposed to be getting disbursements for the next 4 years. I don’t want it all this year! I will get eaten alive at tax time! I gotta get ahold of them and hopefully I can get them to undo it!

It seems my several of my stocks are taking a beating. Google got nailed the other day because it apparently did increase it’s earnings enough. After hours yesterday, Amazon said it’s earnings were below last years. So it is dropping. I heard on the news this morning that the SEC is looking into Red Robin because of the misdoings of the previous CEO. Also something about wages in California or something. So it is set to drop (from the price that is already lower than I what I paid for the stock). Oh well.

And unfortunately I can’t afford to invest anything right now. I am not sure what my taxes will be so I gotta start socking money away in case I owe a bunch. I might have a surplus after tax day, but better a surplus than to be short.
