Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist wrote “The jury instructions here were flawed in important respects.” And just like that, the trial, the jurors, and everything is negated! Unbelievable! They’re going to get off. I wonder if they will have to have another trial…all at taxpayer expense! There is no justice in the US justice system! Maybe they should call him Chief A-Hole William H. Rehnquist, as it is a travesty to apply the word “Justice” to him. Maybe this time instead of going after the firm, go after the individuals! Lock em up and throw away the key!

I got paid today! I paid my car payment. Besides, I am expecting about $150 from Google for Adsense. I have money at Amazon that I can transfer any time. I had some extra money, so I decided to buy some stock. I looked at the various stocks I own, and am pretty happy with them. I do not want have too many eggs in any single basket though. So besides looking at companys I already own, I looked at some others. I looked at Public Storage (PSA), which I still might buy some of. Even though it has a low growth estimates, the price has consistantly gone up. The P/E ratio is decent. It is one of those boring companys that people use (though not me). I looked at Barnes And Noble (BKS). I shop there occasionally, though I buy more books online. They are building a new one down the street from my work, so they are expanding. I believe they own iUniverse, which I would love to have a piece of the Print On Demand market as I feel it will be growing. My book was published through iUniverse, so I like them. Their 5 yer grwoth estimates were only 13%…good buty not great. Then I looked at Michaels Stores (MIK). I buy screen printing stuff there, and my wife buys polymer clay and other crafts stuff there. They really don’t have much in the way of a competitor around here. Some stores carry some stuff, but not a one stop craft place. They are always busy, and I always wait in line at the register. The 5 year growth estimates is 17%. The P/E 22.85 which is reasonable. I looked at buying more ebay, but the P/E of 62 scares me. So I settled on Michaels Stores, and ordered $250 worth.

I just finished listening toa book on tape of Discover the Wealth Within You : A Financial Plan For Creating a Rich and Fulfilling Life by Ric Edelman. At least I thought I had. Apparently what I listened to was just the second half of the book. The first half apparently is about goal setting, but wasn’t part of the book on tape I got from the library. The second half of the book deals with investing. The author spends most of it telling you why mutual funds are the way to go, and that actively managed mutual funds are better then indexed funds. I didn’t really get much out of it. Reading a description of the first part of the book that I didn’t get to listen to, sounds like I would have liked it. Maybe the book on tape is in two parts, and part one is at the library also. I will check.

Last week was pretty cool! Most of my stocks were up significantly. This week they are dropping back down some, but over all I am still fairly well up.
I was just reading that some of my ETF funds will be splitting. Not sure what will happen yet. I have seen company stocks split, and then go up, but since the values of the ETF shares are based on the underlying stocks, which probably wont be splitting, I don’t expect anything to happen, other than I will have a larger number of shares at a lower value. Still, it will be cool to have a larger number of shares!
I am still keeping my out for investment ideas. After listening to one book on tape (I don’t remember which one), the author talked about buying boring companys. I started thinked, and storage places jumped into my head. They are pretty boring. I did a search and found Public Storage (PSA). The growth numbers weren’t anything special, but the price of the stock has been rising at a steady rate over it’s life. How does a 40% gain in a couple years sound? Sounds pretty good to me. So I amy buy some shares when I get some extra money. I ate at Panera Bread again today. I had the Frontega Chicken and the Brocholi Cheddar soup. These are very good. Much better than the Asiago Roast Beef sandwich, and the Caesar Salad that I had on my first visit. I may buy some shares in this place yet.
Google Adsense earnings have been doing really good this month. I added Adsense banners to some of my Amazon stores, and this is getting me some more clicks. My Amazon store sales have been down lately (before I even added the Adsense banners). I was concerned that the banners might be drawin people away from my stores, but looking at the small number of clicks, they are not lead too many people away, and money from clicks, versus money from clicks and then buying is a little easier. I am hoping the drop in Amazon sales is just a seasonal thing!
